They're All About Duty

And more thoughts on Sunday:

- I'm upset that I won't be near a theatre on Friday to see Pirates of the Caribbean. To somewhat make up for it, I'm gonna have to watch the first installment again, hopefully this evening. Right now, I'm watching The Pirates of Penzance. Now I'm in the mood for really bad eggs.

- Melissa's 17 year old cousin was shooting a bb gun in Larry's back yard. He started to make fun of me that I couldn't hit the broad side of the barn. Probably true, I haven't fired a round of any kind since I was in Boy Scouts. I took aim at the Coke can and knocked it off the fence. Still, I'm not playing football for the Methodists.

- After reading too many articles and listening to too many interviews about the Court's opinion that limited the usage of military tribunals and the Time's revealing the administration's tracking of international financial data, I can't help but to think of Colonel Jessup's tirade: "You have no idea how to defend a nation. All you did was weaken a country today. That's all you did. You put people's lives in danger. Sweet dreams, son."

- Is the Tour de France here already? Also, what happens if you throw a race and nobody cares?
