12 of One, 2 Half-Dozen of Another

I'm waiting for the trifecta.

Last night, I pulled out some old shorts I hadn't worn in over a year to sew on a button. Looking through the pockets, I found $12.

Since carrying cash is such a rare occurrence, it was indeed very welcome; little did I know that "twelve" would soon take on a more significant role.

This morning, I went down the county courthouse (which, by the way is on South Beckley; I just didn't have time to take the historical route on this anniversary) to take care of a forgotten and still unpaid ticket received last July. The JP threatening to issue an arrest warrant joggled my memory sufficiently. The letter also advised of a $200 late fee.

After showing all proper documentation, I paid, yep, $12 for a dismissal.

I feel December will be my luckiest month yet.
