It occurred to me that I have to have some historical context in order to remember a birthday or anniversary.

For instance, Chris' birthday is exactly one month after the alleged Moon walk.

My parent's anniversary is the day Hitler invaded Poland.

Meridith's birthday is the day LBJ announced he wouldn't run for re-election.
