This story has been making me laugh all week long. And since I don't yet have permission to tell the story about my own wife, I have to pick on somebody else's.
When we were having dinner with Tony and Angela, he told the following story:
Tony was watching the Broncos some Sunday afternoon. He must be just like his dad - Broncos game on, mouth is shut.
Angela watched a few plays with him and noticed a few guys in the stands. One was holding a cardboard cut-out of the letter "D". The guy next to him was holding a small portion of a picket fence.
If you've gone to any high school football game in the past ten years, you'll know that these two objects are used to encourage the crowd to chant "Defense, Defense!"
Except for Angela.
She interrupted Tony during the game (bold move) and asked, "So, who does D. Picket play for?"
True story.
