Songs

I typically do these shallow but fun things on Fridays. It's a good way to end the week. But tonight will have to do, my friend.

Completing this exercise was actually more difficult than I originally thought. Many of these bands are among my all-time favorites, as are their songs. Since deciding on one favorite proved too difficult, I've listed a few favorites in some circumstances.

Example - The Rolling Stones. I've always liked Mother's Little Helper. It's a good song with good lyrics. Overall, it may be a better song than Paint It Black. However, I must list Paint It Black for being one of the most socially conscious songs of all time.

Other Example - The Doors. I really like Hyacinth House. It's a great song of solitude. However, I must list Moonlight Drive - the song that started it all. Every time I hear it, I can picture Morrison and Manzarek strolling on Venice Beach and figuring out how to make a million dollars.

1. Favorite Beatles song: One After 909 (Early Beatles), I've Just Seen A Face (Middle Beatles), Free As A Bird (Late Beatles)
2. Favorite Rolling Stones song: Paint It Black, Mother's Little Helper
3. Favorite Doors song: Moonlight Drive, Hyacinth House
